About Us
A Passion for Nature. A Dedication to Purity.
Welcome to NOLA Soap Works! My journey began with a simple but profound belief: our skin is an incredible gateway to our health, and it deserves to be "fed" with the same care we give our bodies.
Inspired by a deep, intimate love for the natural world and a motto I live by—“Never put anything on your skin that you wouldn't put in your body”—I’ve dedicated my life to the art of old-fashioned, small-batch apothecary. For me, this isn't just a business; it’s a passion project rooted in the healing and nourishing qualities of the earth. I truly love what I do, and I am honored to share a piece of that passion with you.
The NOLA Soap Works Way
Old-Fashioned Craftsmanship I specialize in the traditional cold-process method. By keeping our ingredients at low temperatures, I ensure that the therapeutic properties of our botanical oils remain intact. This method also preserves the naturally occurring glycerin—a gentle, hydrating humectant that commercial soaps often strip away, but one that is essential for soft, healthy skin.
Slow-Cured & Small-Batch Patience is our secret ingredient. Every bar of soap is handcrafted in small batches with meticulous attention to detail and allowed to slow-cure for 4–6 weeks. This results in a long-lasting, high-quality bar. Because they are hand-cut, each bar is a unique work of art, varying slightly in shape and character—just like nature intended.
Pure, "Skin-Food" Ingredients I formulate my products using a rich palette of nourishing oils and butters known for their restorative qualities:
* Creamy Butters: Shea, Cocoa, and Mango butters for deep moisture.
* Nutrient-Rich Oils: Avocado, Sweet Almond, Castor, Olive, and Coconut oils.
* The "Clean" Standard: My products are scented only with pure essential oils or "Clean Scent" fragrance oils. You will never find:
* Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS)
* Parabens or Phthalates
* Petroleum By-products
* Artificial Colorings or Preservatives
Let’s Create Something Together
I believe that skincare should be as unique as the person using it. If you have a favorite scent you’d like to see featured, or if you have specific sensitivities or allergies, I would love to hear from you. I am always happy to discuss custom orders to ensure you get exactly what your skin needs.
