But it's what's on the inside that really counts!
We're passionate about creating fun soaps that look great! But our top priority is always creating soaps that ARE great for your skin. LOCAL FLAIR - Being a member of The Crescent City Farmer's Market , allows me to opportunity to gather most of the herbs, flowers and aloe vera used as additives in my soap recipes. It is exciting to be able to offer such a large selection of soaps featuring environmentally friendly and locally grown natural ingredients such as Creole tomatoes, herbs, flowers, sugar, rice, goat milk, honey & beeswax.
SODIUM HYDROXIDE - Soap Making is a chemical process which requires mixing oils or fats with sodium hydroxide, commonly known as lye. True soap cannot be made without the use of lye, which is a word that may frighten people who remember their Grandma’s lye heavy soap that left skin rough and dry. The handcrafted soap making process was a bit different back then and modern technology allows me to approach my passion with the utmost care, implementing superior equipment, higher quality materials and precise mathematical calculations to ensure that each bar of soap is perfect.
BIOFELIN - Our bath bombs and soaps are packaged in Biofelin, which is a biodegradable shrink wrap. Instead of being stuck in a landfill for years and years, it will begin to breakdown after 18 months.
